HR Fórum 2023
With the motto "Reinventing People, transforming organizations," the HR Forum took place last month, and Velv was there. Our HR Director, Nádia, shared with us her main insights:
"This event is a must-see for Human Resources professionals and industry leaders who want to stay current on the trends and innovations that will shape the future of the field.
With the fast pace of organizational transformations and the constant evolution of people management practices, the HR Forum 2023 offers a dynamic platform to share insights, learn from experts, and discuss the prominent trends redefining HR.
These were the Key topics and trends discussed:
1. Technology and AI:
They explored the impact of artificial intelligence, process automation, cloud-based talent management platforms, and other digital solutions in HR. AI is the future of HR and can be used in hiring and recruitment processes, onboarding and offboarding, training and development, and data and analytics to help strategic decision-making.
2. Employee Experience:
If in the past the biggest deal to get into a company was salary and benefits, nowadays, people want to believe in the purpose of the company they're working for. And the employee experience must show in all employee journeys. Not only at the entrance, but it is trivial to recognize people aligned with it and develop the company's leadership.
3. Employee health and well-being:
Companies must adopt a holistic approach to the health and well-being of employees, addressing both physical and mental health, which includes wellness programs, benefits, and the work environment itself. By implementing these strategies, companies can create a healthy and supportive work environment, promoting employee satisfaction and, consequently, positive job performance.
4. Learning Culture:
With the fast-moving scenario, people know the importance of learning every day. One of the company's duties is building a continuous learning culture, implementing practical strategies for training and developing talent and promoting the exchange of knowledge. Awareness of the importance of upskilling and constant learning to stay competitive is fundamental.
5. HR as talent advisors for digital transformation:
HR is crucial in attracting talent with the skills and competencies to drive digital transformation. There are two main steps to guarantee that:
Define competency profiles: Identify the digital competencies and skills needed to drive the organization's digital transformation. These competency profiles help in defining precise requirements when recruiting new talent.
Develop an attractive employer brand: Promote the organization as a desirable place for digital talent, highlighting innovative projects, learning and development opportunities, collaborative work environment, and other competitive advantages that attract digital talent.
6. Quiet Quitting:
Quiet Quitting occurs when disengaged and dissatisfied employees stay with the company but reduce their commitment and productivity; the employee is present but no longer has a sense of belonging. The other 5 points addressed above are essential to mitigate this phenomenon.
In conclusion, HR trends are constantly evolving to adapt to changes in the work environment and the needs of employees. With the advancement of technology, the growing importance of the well-being of employees, and the demand for greater agility and flexibility in organizations, HR plays a crucial role in driving these transformations.
I'm proud that velv is already discussing all these topics and implementing strategies to guarantee the best employee experience."
